Telecommunications Industry Group (TIG)
The Telecommunications Industry Group (TIG) is focused on providing products and services to:
IntereXchange Carriers (IXCs),
Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOCs),
Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILECs),
Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLECs),
major independent telephone companies,
Mobile Service Providers (MSPs),
Internet Service Providers (ISPs),
Application Service Providers (ASPs), and
Integrated Communications Providers (ICPs).
TIG is at the forefront of 21st century technologies and solutions that power the information flow critical to the industrys growth and prosperity. The predominant product offering from TIG is the Convergent Data Collection and Mediation System (DCS). Installed in over 80 sites, DCS is responsible for collecting network event information (wireline, wireless, and/or IP) and conditioning that information for use by other OSS/BSS systems. The convergent nature of DCS makes it useful to all types of providers and its flexibility allows the execution of any required business rule.
The newest product offering from TIG is the Telco Decision Support Architecture (TDSA). TDSA is an extended application, making use of all DCS capabilities as well as a relational database and decision support software tools. The purpose of TDSA is to give a service provider a focused, departmentalized view of network event information. This view provides an answer to questions about consumer trends, traffic bottlenecks, promotional results, or any other business question that may exist.
Other product offerings from TIG include our popular Rating and Tariffing System (RTS) and the Operator Reference Database (ORDB).
We stand by what we sell. Computer Generation provides training and complete user and installation manuals. We maintain a 24-hour, seven day a week telephone "hotline." Also, our customers can access diagnostics, troubleshooting and problem resolution online.
